Mr. Henry came by to see me. He went on to the election. Henry Thomas & A. Davidson running for Congress. I came to A. B. Jones’ & spent the day. Finished my stocking, all the work I took. Came home late in the evening, found all well, the house torn up somewhat. Mr. Henry had a horse brought for me to Jones’. Charlie getting better, Hanes complaining. Heavy frost, high winds all day. Mr. Henry did not get home till sundown as he was one of the judges of the election.
