Gloomy day. I made Willie’s bonnet. Atheline & I scoured the pantry. I stopped the three gallon vinegar and it broke the molasses all on the floor or at least 1/2 gallon. They were working the course of it. Frank Ellison came here today just from the 6th Regiment. They are doing better than they have been doing. Poor fellows. There is still room for improvement. George getting better, also Hanes & Charles. The measles very light so far. Fannie complaining. Measles I guess. Some rain today, not much. Some yesterday. Warmer than has been. Mr. Henry begins to work on his dam Monday.
