Mr. Henry went to Asheville today. Nothing new. He walked as it was so cold. It rained a good deal last night. Not enough to raise the creek. Very cold & windy this morning. I got up at 5 o’clock, rather soon for me. Mr. Henry is an early riser, so are the children. I made Hanes a coat today out of that sleazy cloth. I have no idea how it will look. Got it done by two o’clock & then done Sunday mendings. Mr. Henry came home late nearly sundown. Willie has been fretful today. Hanes attended to him. I made two sacks for mill this morning.
