The biggest frost of the season. Mr. Henry & I want to go to see Burt Starnes baptised. Too cold to go. Bill Green came to borrow the buggy to go after Amos Green’s wife as his remains are to be interred tomorrow at the Willis grave yard. He died at Suffolk of fever, much lamented by the whole company. He joined the second company (Vance’s) from Buncombe. Mr. Henry & I went to the dam this evening & then up to see the fattening hogs. He has 46. Some of them very fat & large.
