I put velvet round the skirt of Atheline’s dress yesterday & across the bosom. Sue Sutton came here today to twist some thread for Mary Taylor. She is staying there while Taylor is gone. She came here last Tuesday to get some needles. They must need a heap of the comforts of life. I feel sorry for Mary, she once seen better days. I don’t think she will get much work out of Sue as she is lazy enough for anything. Jim Parker moved in the other cabbin up there yesterday & Peter Guy in his house. The place is lousy with people.
