Mail came along this evening. Nothing new. Fannie & Atheline scoured today. The wind blew from the north. Very, very cold. The piazzas both froze after they done them. Aunt Tena rendering up lard, got a nice chance. Jinnie getting dinner. I knit on Willie’s little clouded stockings before dinner, got one done. I also helped cut up some fat. I arranged the room after dinner. Hanes attended to Willie. Atheline & I fixed the flower vases up, put cedar in flour & made flower pots. I made Zona a doll at night. I had rockers put to a box for a cradle for her Christmas gift. They talk all the time about Santa Clause coming.
