Cornelia H., age 25, North Carolina

Mail came, nothing new. I did not get a letter. I looked one from Lou as it has been so long since I heard, not since Feb. I look for Dora & them soon. I handed some threads to Aunt Tena. She got her cloth ready to go to weaving on Monday as she will iron tomorrow. Mr. Henry has got a thrashing machine, started to run by water, it goes very fast so they say. Mr. Henry got half a box of tobacco this evening.  *(Fear in North Carolina: The Civil War Journals and Letters of the Henry Family, Eds. Karen L. Clinard and Richard Russell, used with permission.)
