Cousin Betsy & Miss Lowry started this morning to where they are going to burry Gen. Lowry. No one in the house with the corpse but Cousin Mary Moore & I. Mr. Henry gone up to the hotel place. I shall be lonely for some time. I have not seen Gen. Lowry since he came here nor do I expect to. David Plemmons started with the corpse about 2 o’clock to some 20 miles where they burry him. Cousin Mary knit on a sock today for me. I sewed on Hanes’ shirt, finished 1 today & some on another. She started home about 3 o’clock. It began drissling rain about 2 and continued all night.
