Tempa left last Tuesday gone to Tenn I have been without a cook since. Willie tends Siddie and helps me a good deal. He and Gussie carry water and chips. Kate helps me milk in the evening and Mr Miller in the morning I get on very well. The children are done with their writing school. They start to Mr Barnes tomorrow I want to send Willie some. He is not fond of school like Pinck and Zona I hope Mr Barnes will be kind to him he is very sensitive. Mr Henry about the farm all the week. Charlie took Matt her trunk yesterday. Eliza sent us some cabbage and parsnips, they were very acceptable as we have none.
