Fred and I got up about 8 o’clock this morning. I shaved and got ready to go to church right after breakfast. It has been another fine warm day. I went into the store a minute just after church, but the telegraph was not working, so I came back right away. I began a letter to Kate before dinner. I went over to our farm this afternoon and walked around looked at the trees and other things. I wish Kate was here now. I am beginning to want my home pretty badly. I called at the Morrows and saw their new girl, which they got from the school at Coldwater. I stayed to go up town this afternoon, but met [Cha..?] Fitts and James Case, so came back and had a sing with them. Have to go to the store in the morning.
