I fixed up my specimens of writing and took them over to the fair this morning. I brought the house and buggy home and then went back to see to my department, Apples, at the fair. I had my dinner on the grounds. Was pretty busy this afternoon in arranging fruit. There don’t seem to be much of any thing else coming in yet. Received a letter form Effie tonight, and Kate got one from home. It has been a very pleasant day.
