Beautiful day, not quite so windy but still breezy. Rather cool in morn. Mother woke us about 9:00, with the instructions to hurry for church at 11:00. We both had a slight, “morning after” feeling, but hurried around enough to enable us to be properly and fully clothed (partly in borrowed finery) by 10:45. We walked around to the church; we could see Donald’s car down at the dock, and presumed that he and Verne had gone out in the boat. It was so nice to be in the little church again. We sat next to Mary and Irene McKenzie. Isabelle Kastner came in later and sat in front of us. She looked as if she had just gotten up. She had on more-than-slightly soiled white slippers with no hose
