I put poison on grapevines and potatoes for the pests to eat this forenoon. Ma went to Ypsilanti. We burned brush in the clearing this afternoon. Maude, Effie and I went to Olsavers to practice singing tonight.

I cultivated the garden this morning and planted some melon seed. Pa and Uncle Robert went to E. Balls to shear sheep. Kate and I fixed up some fence that burned yesterday. Ma came home tonight. It was a warm day. I don’t feel very well tonight.

I went to Dexter this morning and got some Berry boxes and a crate. Kate went as far as her folks and stayed all day. I fixed up some honey crates this afternoon and we put them on tonight. Father Queal and Willie went fishing a little while tonight. It has been almost cold all day.

I finished dragging the corn this forenoon. This afternoon I cleaned a honey crate and began to take the honey out of the old boxes so as to fix them up to use. Effie, Kate and I went over to Oleaver to a Nilsson Club meeting tonight.

Got up at 2:30 this morning and started Pa for Chelsea. Effie and I went around and got some cream and took to Blodgetts to be frozen for tonight. The Reading Circle festival came off tonight. The Huron band from Ann Arbor were there. 137 tickets were taken in. Kate and I were married two years ago tonight.
