I paracticed writing some this morning and then went to rolling on the wheat ground. Pa and uncle Robert went to old Mr. Van Ripers funeral this forenoon. There was a little frost around the straw stack this morning. It is warmer today.

I finished rolling the big field this morning and then I dragged the 3 acre field by the house. This afternoon I rolled the 3 acres. Kate went over to her mothers this morning and went visiting with her. I am going over to stay there tonight.

I came home before breakfast this morning. Picked some pears and then went to dragging. This afternoon I dragged some and helped burn some brush and split some wood. Mark Williams called. Ralph McAllaster came up tonight. He and I called at Ed Balls this evening.

Pa and Uncle Robert thrashed at J. Williams’ today. I dragged 3 acres this morning , and then Kate, Effie and I went to Dexter and attended the Farmer’s meeting at Buckelews. We went down town soon after dinner and they came home. I visited Mr. Allen’s vinyard, it looked nice.

Kate and I went to Ann Arbor to church to day, we got back about 1 o’clock. Ralph McAllaster has been here all day, I took him nearly home tonight. It has been a warm day. I have done no writing today, which seems funny for me.

We picked stone all day. It was very hot work, this afternoon the stones fairly burned our hands. We got the 14 acre field all picked and one load off the small field by the house. I feel very tired and did not study any tonight.

We finished picking stone this forenoon. Kate, Effie and I went to Dexter this afternoon. Kate had a tooth filled. I went and looked at the new cider mill. We called on uncle John at his shop. I got D. H. Farley’s Model Guide to Penmanship today and some circulars in connection. Very hot day.

We had a very fine rain last night and this fornoon. I practiced with the pen a good deal. I have eaten grapes until I am full. Pa went and got some deed wheat and also went to Delhi and got a grist, this afternoon. I trimed up some tomato vines.
