I started to take Fred to the cars this morning, but when we got to Quells he changed his mind and went to the Chelsea fair with Nellie. Kate and I are going over there to staty tonight. I have been studying Book-keeping this afternoon. It has been a cold cloudy day.

I came home this morning got the horse and buggy and went over after Fred and took him to Dexter where he took the train for home. I arecieved copies of the Book-keeping and Blanks today. The Nilsson Club met here tonight.

I took Kate over to father Queal’s this  [forenoon?] and she went to church with them at Dexter. I went to chrch up here. Ralph McAllaster and Aliche Spoor came yesterday. I took Ralph part way home this afternoon. We have been singing tonight.

I have felt a good deal like being sick with fever today. I finished a set in Book-keeping this morning. Will Cooper came about 10 o’clock and visited until this evening when I took him to Dexter. He starts for Denver tomorrow.

I did a little specimen writing this morning. Willie cut his fingers terribly this forenoon, Ma and I took him up to Dr. Chase and had them dressed, it was hard job for him. I gathered some nuts and helped pa pick cider apples this afternoon. Henry and Nellie came after Kate tonight.

Pa went to Dexter with some cider apples to have made into jell, this fornoon. I have been writing specimens the most of the day. Mr and Mrs. Butler called here this afternoon. I have had considerable fever this day.

I stayed at father Quells last night. A mouse got into the room when Kate and I were and made it lively for us. Pa, Effie and Willie went to Dexter this forenoon to have Willie’s hand dressed. Geo. Williams buried his little boy today. I helped pa draw manure this afternoon.

Have been drawing manure the most of the day. Pa went to Dexter towards night to get the jelly. We killed some chickens this morning and they have been cooked for tomorrow. I fixed an exhibit of Penmanship to take to the Fair tomorrow.

We went to the Farmer’s Club Fair at Wm Balls today. Kate and Effie helped get up the dinner. Pa exhibited potatoes, corn, grapes, apples and tomatoes. Kate a table spread, Effie some crazy work  [crazy-quilt ?] and I some penmanship and book-keeping works. It has been a fine day and we had a good time.

Pa and Willie went to Dexter this morning to see the Dr. but he was away. Willies hand is doing well though. Went to church and stayed to Sunday-shool. All went to atemperance meeting tonight,  but me.

We finished digging potatoes this forenoon. We put 30 bu. in the cellar and pa sold and delivered 11 bu. to John Alexander this afternoon. Kate and Effie visited at Quells this afternoon. I husked corn. It is beautiful warm weather, and has been for some days.

Pa and Willie went to Dexter this forenoon to get some trees he had ordered from a nursery. Uncle Robert and I husked corn the most of the day. Pa helped Rosiers [?] thrash this afternoon. The machine came here tonight and we will thrash tomorrow. It has been a warm day.

It rained so we could not thrash this forenoon and just as we got ready this afternoon a big wind and rain came up and put an end to proceedings for today. It has blown fearfully all the afternoon and is at it still. The thrasher went home tonight.

Pa and I set the fruit trees that he got the other day this forenoon. The thrashers came at noon and we did our thrashing this afternoon. We had 203 bu. of oats and 202 bu. of wheat. Kate, Effie and I went to the Reading Circle meeting at the ministers tonight.

I went over and helped Geo. Phelps thrash today. We got through about 2 o’clock.  I worked with Ed taking care of the grain. I went at the husking when I got home, Kate helped me. It has been a beautiful day. I feel tired tonight.

This has been another lovely day. I went to church and sung in the choir as usual. Kate didn’t feel well enough to go. We put a boquet [sic] of  flowers on Johnnies grave this afternoon. I filled out the answer to Scotts postal card tonight, and will send it back as soon as I can mail it.
