I started to take Fred to the cars this morning, but when we got to Quells he changed his mind and went to the Chelsea fair with Nellie. Kate and I are going over there to staty tonight. I have been studying Book-keeping this afternoon. It has been a cold cloudy day.

I have felt a good deal like being sick with fever today. I finished a set in Book-keeping this morning. Will Cooper came about 10 o’clock and visited until this evening when I took him to Dexter. He starts for Denver tomorrow.

I did a little specimen writing this morning. Willie cut his fingers terribly this forenoon, Ma and I took him up to Dr. Chase and had them dressed, it was hard job for him. I gathered some nuts and helped pa pick cider apples this afternoon. Henry and Nellie came after Kate tonight.

Pa went to Dexter with some cider apples to have made into jell, this fornoon. I have been writing specimens the most of the day. Mr and Mrs. Butler called here this afternoon. I have had considerable fever this day.

I stayed at father Quells last night. A mouse got into the room when Kate and I were and made it lively for us. Pa, Effie and Willie went to Dexter this forenoon to have Willie’s hand dressed. Geo. Williams buried his little boy today. I helped pa draw manure this afternoon.

We went to the Farmer’s Club Fair at Wm Balls today. Kate and Effie helped get up the dinner. Pa exhibited potatoes, corn, grapes, apples and tomatoes. Kate a table spread, Effie some crazy work [crazy-quilt ?] and I some penmanship and book-keeping works. It has been a fine day and we had a good time.
